Your M22

Why Buy An M22?

At ISSC Austria we recognized the demand for an all-around training gun.  So we developed a pistol that would expose the shooter to operational features found on today's defensive handguns, while shielding the shooter from the excessive costs of defensive ammunition.  Ideally, anyone who trains properly on an ISSC M22 should be able to effectively move from hammer-fired to striker-fired pistols, as well as place shots not just on target but within the X-ring circle.

Like every rimfire pistol, the new owner should break the gun in by first firing at least 200 rounds of hi-vel ammo.  The M22 will give its best performance with 40-grain, CCI Mini-Mag (round nose) or Blazer Hi-Vel ammo loads.   After shooting 200 rounds, the gun should be cleaned, lightly oiled and the feed ramp polished.  This will make the gun function to its maximum capacity and capability.  Also make sure to use both magazines during the break-in period.

In choosing ammunition, we recommend CCI Mini-Mag 40-grain (#CCI0030). The gun also shoots well with Federal Game Shot 810, Remington Yellow Jacket and Blazer 40-grain loads.

Do not use BreakFree Powder Blast to clean M22 pistols. This cleaning agent reacts against the aluminum in any gun slide and will discolor or flake off the finish.
